Spotlight on Learning

Dear Bethany Families,

This week we welcomed fathers and father figures in to our community for a fun filled, dance packed Father's Day celebration.  What a lovely morning it was seeing all the dad's that could come into the community and watch the students in action.

Religious Education Focus:

Next week, students will be looking at challenges they may face in their Spiritual Journey and ways to overcome such challenges.

English Focus:

After learning about the structure and features of information reports, students will demonstrate their understanding by independently creating their own report. They will follow the correct structure, organise their ideas logically, and edit their work to improve clarity and understanding.

Mathematics Focus:

Next week, students will learn how to measure both interior and exterior angles of polygons. They will explore what these angles are, understand how they relate to each other, and practise using protractors to measure them accurately.

Integrated Studies Focus:

In our Health unit, we will continue exploring puberty and learning strategies to manage the changes and transitions that happen during this time. Students have shown a very positive and mature attitude towards this important learning.

SEL Focus:

In Week 8, students will be learning about child safety, including the school’s policies and procedures that help protect and support all students.

Auslan Learning Focus:

Next week, students will revise the signs covered in earlier terms and complete a short formal assessment to check their understanding of the signs they have learned.

Reminders

As students bodies are developing, we ask families to ensure students have enough nutritious food packed in their lunchboxes to sustain their energy levels and attention throughout the day.

Reminder for students to bring in forks or spoons with their lunch.
