Father's Day Celebration

As we celebrate Father’s Day, we take inspiration from St Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus. St Joseph showed us what it means to be a man of faith, love and quiet strength. His example reminds us of the vital role fathers and father figures play in guiding, supporting and nurturing children with patience and devotion.

Today, it was a joy to welcome our dads, grandfathers and father figures into our school to spend time in their child’s classroom. The smiles on the children’s faces as they proudly shared their learning were matched by the happiness of their dads who joined in. One of the highlights of the morning was seeing the students present some lively dance routines, bringing laughter and lots of joy to all who came.

We sincerely thank the many fathers and father figures who made the effort to take time out of their morning to be with us. Your presence meant so much to your children, and it was a wonderful way to celebrate the gift of fatherhood in our school community.

Exciting News from the Church

On Friday morning, Pope Leo XIV held the first Ordinary Public Consistory of his pontificate, where the Cardinals gave their formal approval for the canonisation of eight Blesseds.

Among them, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati and Blessed Carlo Acutis will be canonised together on 7 September. These two young men—one from the early twentieth century and the other from our own century—have inspired countless people with their faith, courage, and love for Christ. The announcement of their canonisation has been joyfully welcomed around the world, especially by young people who look to them as role models of holiness in everyday life.

This is especially exciting for us in Cranbourne East/Clyde area, as a new school is soon to be built with the name, Carlo Acutis Catholic Primary School! It will open 2027!!

Visit the Vatican website to see the canonsisation live at 6pm for us.
