Gardening Club

What a joy it's been in the school veggie garden these past two weeks! Our students have been wonderfully busy watering, weeding, pruning, and getting their hands dirty planting radishes. There's something so grounding about tending to God's creation, and the garden has become a space where we not only grow vegetables but also community.

We’ve been delighted to see garlic shoots and broccoli sprouts pushing their way through the soil - small but sure signs of growth and promise. As we work together, students smile, chat, and soak up the beautiful winter sunshine. It’s in these quiet, shared moments that we’re reminded of the beauty of creation and the joy of stewardship.

In Genesis 2:15, we are told that "The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it." In the same way, our students are learning to care for and appreciate the land we’ve been given. Whether they're pulling weeds or planting seeds, they're participating in something sacred - nurturing life, learning patience, and seeing firsthand how small acts can bear fruit (and veg!).

Thank you to everyone who has supported our garden. May we continue to sow seeds of kindness, care, and curiosity in every part of our school.
