AFLW Geelong Players Visit

On Thursday 19th June, the Year 4s and 6s had a great time with two AFLW (Australian Football League Women's) players from Geelong Cats. We did games such as snatch, handballing, marking and seeing who could kick the furthest. For who could kick the furthest we got in groups of three and tried to see if we could kick further then the professionals. A few people got really close to them.We really enjoyed them coming down to play with us.

On Thursday 19th June, some friends from AFLW (Australian Football League Women's) came to meet Year 4 and 6 as part of their community camp.

We had a talk about how Bella and Lexi came into the league. We asked some questions like, "how often do you get injured?" and "if you could do another sport would you?" We had a chance to get posters and merchandise signed. Overall it was a lovely experience.

Year 2 Gymnastics

Our Year 2 students have recently leapt into an exciting three week gymnastics program at Strive. Each week, they’ve developed their strength, coordination and confidence as they balanced, rolled, jumped through a range of fun activities. It’s been wonderful to see their enthusiasm grow as they tackled new challenges and built their skills. Well done, Year 2!

Year 4/5 Badminton

Year 4/5 students have enjoyed an active and engaging three-week badminton program at Warrnambool Stadium. Throughout the sessions, they’ve developed their striking skills, footwork, and understanding of game play. It’s been fantastic to see their enthusiasm and sportsmanship on display as they rallied, served, and competed with one another. Well done, Year 5, for giving it your best and showing great progress!

Year 4 Table Tennis

Recently, Year 4 students have been sharpening their reflexes and coordination at the Warrnambool Table Tennis Association. With plenty of rallies, serves, and fun, students have built their skills and confidence while learning the rules and techniques of the game. It’s been a fantastic opportunity for teamwork, focus and lots of laughs. Great work, Year 4!

Congratulations to the 13 students who represented our school at the Junior School Division Soccer held at Brierly Recreation Reserve on Friday 13th June. The team competed exceptionally well, showing great teamwork, skill and determination. After training hard all year, their efforts were rewarded with a highly successful day, only losing one game. Well done to all players on an outstanding performance and thank you to those who came to cheer our students on.
