This week is full of fun activities from our Expressions Program. These awesome activities are: Ultimate Frisbee, A Lego Workshop, Robot Building in the STEM room, learning how to juggle in Circus Skills, Mastering the coolest of dance moves in the Dance Workshop, and getting your creative ideas flowing with the Writing Workshop hosted by Anh Do.
Exciting events have been happening in Prep and Grade 6! Last Wednesday the Preps and their older buddies had an amazing Teddy Bear Picnic under our beautiful oak tree. The Prep buddies brought a delicious lunch to share, with teddies in tow. Everyone had lots of fun and it was really cute to see the huge effort the Preps put into making this a memorable experience. The Grade 6s now can’t wait until they get to host our Christmas Picnic and make their Prep buddies feel special too.
This term, the Grade 5/6 cohort has been working on creating picture story books about cultural diversity in CBL. It gave the grade 5/6 students the chance to experience being authors by developing their skills of illustrating, writing, and publishing. These books will soon be available for all students to access during their grade’s library time.
The Grade 5 and Grade 6 students are eagerly looking forward to our final Sports Gala Day for the year. It's coming up at the end of this week. The sports we are playing include netball, AFL 9s, softball, lawn bowls, touch footy and soccer. It promises to be a fun-filled day of teamwork, friendly competition and school spirit!
This has been a very exciting term. We can't wait for all the Term 3 experiences!
