Congratulations

I would like to congratulate Pio Lee of Year 9, who last week was crowned National Senior Boys U15 Judo Champion. Pio and his NSW team placed First at the event. Well done, Pio!

Congratulations also must go to 2025 Football Captain Alessandro Piccin (Year 12) on selection to the NSWCIS 18 years and under Football Team, a fantastic achievement. Well done and best of luck!

Football

There were some fantastic performances over the weekend for SPC Football, with all A teams securing wins for the second week in a row—highlighted by an emphatic 12-0 victory by the First XI and a strong 6-0 win by the Second XI.

We also had excellent results across our other teams. Notably, our Fifth XI defeated Redlands School, Second XI 7-0, and our Sixth XI edged out St Paul’s Second XI 1-0. We also enjoyed a spirited derby match between our 13E and 13F teams, which ended in a 1-1 draw. It was a great game, and all the boys were in high spirits and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Rugby

Another fantastic day of SPC Rugby on Saturday. All five Opens teams picked up wins against quality opposition, as well as three out of four A teams, three out of four B teams win and some very close losses in for our C and D teams. The First XV match was an outstanding contest which had all in attendance on the edge of their seats. The resilience and toughness shown by all members of the First XV was extraordinary and the cheering from our Year 10 Supporters certainly helped get the boys over the line.

Tennis

There was a mixed bag of results in SPC Tennis last week. Congratulations to the First IV, Fourth IV, Fifth IV, Seventh IV and Ninth IV who all managed to pick up wins and shout out to the Second IV who drew with Central Coast First IV.

Last Week’s Bloopers

When announcing and congratulating students that have made ISA Rugby in last week’s addition, I got two names wrong in the U16 age group. Congratulations to ANGUS Dillon and ALEXANDER Stewart.

Best of luck to all SPC teams this Saturday for the last round of fixtures for Term 2!
