Faith & Community: Pentecost and the Sacred Heart
Over the last few weeks, our school community has been reflecting on two incredibly meaningful celebrations in the Church calendar: Pentecost and the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
- Pentecost marks the moment the Holy Spirit came down to guide the Apostles, filling them with courage and sparking the very beginning of the Church. It reminds us that we are all connected and guided by that same Spirit today.
- The Feast of the Sacred Heart represents Jesus’s endless, compassionate love for humanity. It is a beautiful reminder of the warmth, care, and kindness we are called to show one another every day.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding Meeting at St Mary’s Yesterday, Principal; Mrs Fiechtner and Acting REC; Mrs Newton, attended an important meeting with Father Samson and members of the Parish. We were pleased to welcome representatives from the Chancery Office, who travelled to St Mary's Walgett to deliver a session on current safeguarding practices.
If you would like further information regarding this update, please feel free to contact Mrs Fiechtner.
