Athletics Success

Our running superstar Aylah M has had an incredible start to Term 4. On the 2nd and 23rd of October, Aylah represented our school at the NSW PSSA Primary Athletics Championships at Sydney Olympic Park, competing against some of the best runners in the state. She took part in the 100m sprint for the 9 years age group and the 800m event in the junior category, finishing with commendable results among a very competitive field.

Last week, Aylah was also invited to compete in the 70m sprint handicap event at Hunter Sports Centre, Glendale. In this race, students start at different points on the track based on their qualifying times and compete against some of the fastest athletes across the Hunter. Aylah reached the semi-final of this event and was also selected to run in the 4x800m relay, where her primary team impressively defeated several high school teams.
