There will also be a 30-minute Q&A with a veteran featured in the film and the producer.

PEACH'S RUN

Peach's Run, a fitness challenge in memory of Old Collegian James 'Peach' Petrie (SPC 2001-06) will be held next Saturday, 8 November.

James passed away in February 2022 after an intense mental health battle.

This is the third run, which aims to honour James' memory in the spirit of a physical challenge whilst raising awareness, a sense of community and vital funds to support local mental health-based programs.

The run will take place on fellow Old Collegian Steve Moneghetti (SPC 1975-80) track around Ballarat's Lake Wendouree. You can walk or run a solo lap, or enter as a team to conquer a combined 33 laps of the lake. Find out more at this link - https://peachsrun.com/

2025 MENtal Brekky a great success

We welcomed a large audience to listen to guest speaker Patty Kinnersly at our 2025 MENtal Brekky last Friday at the College's Old Collegians' Association Pavilion.

Around $20,000 was raised in this fundraiser by the Chris Yeung Fund, which assists current families where the father is suffering mental health issues.

The fund was created by a group of SPC classmates and family members following the death of Old Collegian Chris Yeung (SPC 1975-81) 10 years ago this year.

Since then, the fund has committed to raising awareness of men's mental health and assisting families affected by mental health.

In that time, the fund has assisted 21 students (many over multiple years) and provided over $155,000 towards tuition fees, ensuring these boys can continue their education uninterrupted at SPC and helps families with the financial burden which often comes from a mental health struggle.

While the brekky has been and gone for another year, you can still donate to the Chris Yeung Fund to help them to continue to do their great work!
