Grade 3 Camp

Our Grade 3 students, along with their teachers and parents, have made unforgettable memories at Phillip Island! The camp was packed with exciting activities, including the thrilling giant swing, challenging low ropes course, precision-testing archery, and A Maze N Things.

The children were enthusiastic and demonstrated teamwork and resilience, while embracing every challenge. Thank you to the staff and parents who attended the camp.

Well done to all the students who took part in the Australian Mathematics Competition and received their certificates last Friday. The Australian Mathematics Competition is one of the largest annual maths contests in the world, designed to challenge students’ problem-solving skills and mathematical thinking. It provides an excellent opportunity for students to extend themselves beyond the classroom and gain recognition for their achievements in mathematics.

Mural Project Update

Unfortunately, due to the weather this last month, our mural project has been rescheduled several times due to rain.  Fingers crossed this will begin next Thursday.

Foundation 2026

We held our first Foundation 2026 Transition Day on Tuesday this week.  We welcome all our new families to PPS as well as our current families who have a child beginning prep.  Thank you to the PPA/parent reps for organising the uniform sale and serving tea/coffee. The new students had a great time and there were plenty of smiles at the end of the session.

Grade 6 Graduation Tuesday 16th Dec

It is an exciting time for the Grade 6 students who are busy finalising their memory books and preparing for their graduation evening.  The ceremony starts at 5pm. Students arrive at 4.45pm

Please Note: Limited Capacity

We understand the desire to include grandparents and siblings in this special event. Unfortunately, due to the large size of this cohort, we are unable to accommodate requests for additional attendees beyond the two adults per student limit. While we would love to include everyone, space constraints mean we’ve had to make difficult decisions. This ensures the safety and comfort of all attendees, including our students. Thank you for working with us to make this event a success for everyone involved.

A new school year is an exciting time for students and families, but it can be a big step – particularly for those starting Prep, secondary school or VCE. The Department of Education has a webpage with resources and information to help you prepare for the new school year.

During the school holidays, please consider reading through the resources, which include:

  • tips to help transition from kinder to Prep, primary to secondary school, and Year 10 to VCE

  • what to expect at school

  • help with school costs and fees

  • health and wellbeing guidance to support children’s mental health.

Please refer to the New year of learning webpage
