Welcome to Week 4 at Leongatha Primary School. It is another exciting week of learning, opportunity and achievement across our school. We have a number of wonderful events taking place that showcase our students' talents, perseverance and willingness to embrace new challenges.

Victorian Spelling Bee (VICSPELL) – Monday

On Monday, Leongatha Primary School is proud to host the Victorian Spelling Bee (VICSPELL) regional competition. We are excited to welcome students, families and staff from schools across the region as talented young spellers compete in a supportive and engaging academic event. Competitions such as VICSPELL encourage students to develop their vocabulary, spelling accuracy and confidence while celebrating a love of language and learning. We wish all competitors the very best of luck and look forward to being outstanding hosts for this fantastic event.

Grade 5 Swimming Program

Our Grade 5 students will continue their swimming program throughout the week. Swimming is an important life skill that builds confidence, resilience and water safety knowledge while also promoting physical fitness and wellbeing. We encourage all participating students to come prepared each day with their swimming gear and to make the most of this valuable learning opportunity.

Australian Mathematics Competition – Wednesday

On Wednesday, many of our students will participate in the Australian Mathematics Competition. This internationally recognised competition provides students with the opportunity to apply their mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills and creativity to a range of challenging questions. We are incredibly proud of the students who have chosen to take part and commend them for embracing this opportunity to extend their learning. We wish every participant the very best as they represent Leongatha Primary School.
