Could You Be Part of the Bandari Project?

As many of you know, the RGL community is proud to sponsor both a student and a teacher at the Bandari Project, a school supporting some of the most vulnerable children in the village of Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania.

One of our own teachers, Meghan Buchanan, has spent time over the past few years volunteering with the Bandari Project. During her visits, she worked alongside local teachers, delivering professional learning to strengthen teaching practices, while also supporting the school’s social worker to deliver social and emotional learning programs for students.

The Bandari Project is now taking expressions of interest for its 2027 volunteer trip (27 March – 15 April).

This is an incredible opportunity for individuals and families to experience the beauty, culture and warmth of Africa while making a genuine and lasting difference in the lives of others. It’s a life-changing experience that offers the chance to build meaningful connections, learn from a different community, and witness the extraordinary work the Bandari Project is doing firsthand.

To find out more about the project or the 2027 volunteer trip, visit The Bandari Project website https://thebandariproject.com or email thebandariproject@gmail.com

Meghan would also be happy to chat with any members of the RGL community who are interested in hearing more about her experience.
