Principal's Update

Greetings from Anglesea, where I am lucky enough to be with our Year 5/6 students who are thoroughly enjoying their camp. It has been wonderful to see the students engaging so positively with the activities, building independence, and strengthening friendships while representing our school so well.

A warm welcome back to Term 2! I hope all families enjoyed a restful and refreshing holiday break and that our students are returning to school ready for a wonderful term.
I am pleased to share with our community that the Most Reverend René Ramirez RCJ, has been appointed as the Ninth Bishop of Sandhurst. We look forward to his leadership and guidance, and we keep him in our prayers as he prepares to begin his ministry with us.
We also extend a very warm welcome to Harrison O’Connor, who joins our staff this term as a Learning Support Officer (LSO). We are delighted to have Harrison as part of our school community and know he will be a wonderful support to our students.
We are very close to finalising our new school uniform supplier, and we look forward to sharing more information with families soon. Over the next few weeks, students will begin transitioning into Winter Uniform, with all students expected to be in Winter Uniform by Week 4 of this term. Please be reassured that if your child does not yet have all the required uniform items, this is not a concern. Our priority is that students are warm, comfortable and ready to learn, and flexibility will be shown during this transition period.
We look forward to welcoming prospective new families into our school during this week. I also remind our current families to please complete an online enrolment if you have a child starting Foundation in 2027.
The 2026 Class Representative positions have now been filled. We sincerely thank our dedicated volunteers for their willingness to support our school community. Parents are welcome to contact their Class Representative at any time, and you can also expect to hear from them in the coming weeks.
