MPPS Roof Works

The Junior hall roof works will be completed in two phases - Phase One - Prep area/Neville St side. Phase Two - olive tree side. The works will commence week beginning Tuesday June 9th (last three weeks of Term 2). The works will continue over the holidays and for the first few weeks of Term 3. 

The Preps will be moving out of the Junior building for the last three weeks of term whilst the work is taking place directly above their classrooms. During these three weeks, Prep A and B will be team teaching in our newly refurbished multipurpose room (our old P.E. multipurpose hall at the end of the main building).

The 1/2s will be moving out of the Junior building for the first three weeks of Term 3 whilst the work is taking place directly above their classrooms. During these three weeks, 1/2A and 1/2D will be team teaching in our newly refurbished multipurpose room. 1/2C will be working in the French room within the Junior building.

The multipurpose room will eventually become our new library and will be carpeted and cosy for use when the classes move in. The students will have access to all the learning resources required and we will utilise our floor/lap tables rather than moving all the large furniture.

Building access: 

We are asking parents to follow one access plan for the duration of the Junior hall roof works to avoid confusion as additional fencing will be extended to the olive tree side.

Preps will use the Richardson St ramp end as their main entrance and exit of the Junior building at drop off, pick up and across the school day at break times and for Specialist classes. 

All students will have access to the toilets within the Junior building during the roof works and the inclusive toilet when they are in the main building.

The 1/2s will be the only classes asked to use the French doors at the oval end of the building as access to their external doors will not be available from Thursday May 28th.
