LEBANON CRISIS APPEAL

The escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has pushed Lebanon into severe turmoil, with tragic consequences that have spread from Southern Lebanon to the entire nation. The situation is dire: over 3,000 lives have been lost, more than 13,000 people injured, and critical infrastructure has been destroyed.

In response to a heartfelt plea for assistance by Bishop Tarabay and Bishop Rabbat, the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference in partnership with Catholic Religious Australia, Caritas Australia and Caritas Lebanon, has launched the Lebanon Appeal. This appeal aims to provide essential humanitarian aid to our brothers and sisters suffering in Lebanon, especially those who are displaced and without homes or shelter. ST PATRICK'S SCHOOL, PYRAMID HILL

On Sunday 8th December, St Patrick’s Primary School Pyramid Hill will host a special event to commemorate and celebrate the school, which will close at the end of 2024. The school community is deeply grateful for the contributions of the principals and the staff who have served St Patrick's School, as well as the Sisters of St Joseph, who established the school in 1956.

Over the past 68 years, many students, staff, and families have formed strong connections with the school. It would be wonderful to see as many people there as possible as we join with current principal John O'Connor, staff, students, families and the broader Pyramid Hill community to honour St Patrick's school. Everyone is most welcome.
