Principal's Report
We certainly have reached the pointy end of 2024. This week our Year 12 students will officially finish their VCE exams and we trust they walk away feeling confident in knowing they have made the most of the opportunities presented to them.
Next week our Year 10 and 11 students will commence their exams and we wish them good luck. At Kildare Campus we have started welcoming some of our incoming Year 7 students for their transition and what a joy it is to see their smiling faces onsite. We look forward to hosting all our new Year 7 students on 10 December for their Orientation Day and being a part of this exciting new phase in their lives.
Silence speaks volumes
Earlier this week we commemorated Remembrance Day, where we observed one-minute silence to acknowledge, honour and remember those who have served our country in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. This year marks 110 years since the start of the First World War, in what was Australia's costliest conflict. Our one minute of silence provides an opportunity to contemplate, pray or reflect on the ongoing costs of war. It is important that as a faith community we acknowledge our history, but also that we continue to pray and hope for peace both locally and globally.
