Skye PS Little Library 

I hope everyone is excited as I am about our new outdoor reading initiative 'Skye PS Little Library'!  

Friday lunchtimes the mobile Bookcase will be wheeled outside full of wonderful books for our Skye students to enjoy!

Last Friday was our first session and saw a great turn out! Students had the opportunity to grab a book and relax on the picnic blanket or under the sails. It would be great to see you all there again, and hopefully the weather will be just as lovely! Skye's Little Library will be set up outside near the STEAM room every Friday (weather permitting). Let’s hope the beautiful weather continues so we can enjoy reading outdoors in the sunshine!

Book Donations 

A huge thank you for the generous book donations I’ve received in the past couple of weeks.  These wonderful books will be catalogued and made available for students to enjoy in the Library, as well as added to our collection for Skye's Little Library to be enjoyed outdoors. I really appreciate your generosity.

Open Library - Friday Mornings

Don't forget our amazing Library is open Friday Mornings between 8.15 and 8.45, for family borrowing or browsing, come in and say HI.

Book Club Orders - Last for the year!

Catalogues were sent home on Monday, 11th November, and this will be our final Book Club for the year. To ensure you receive your items before the end of Term 4, orders must be placed online by Friday, 29th November.

There are some fantastic gift ideas in this catalogue—perfect for the holiday season! If you prefer, I’m happy to hold your orders in the Library for collection. Just let me know via email at tarnia.mathieson@education.vic.gov.au. 

On the Back of Issue 8, there is a creative colouring competition students can enter for a chance to win family passes to see the DOG MAN MOVIE, coming to cinemas in April, 2025.  If you are after a copy please come and grab a catalogue from the library.

Last Borrowing for this year

November 25th - 29th will be the last week for students to borrow book.  All books must be returned by Friday the 6h December.  Students will still have library time with their class - just no borrowing.
