Camp Wilkin
Year 6 - Camp Wilkin
Our Year 6 students have had an incredible time at Camp Wilkin in Anglesea. Blessed with sunny weather, we spent three awesome days together as a cohort before we all go our separate ways for secondary school.
After an easy but long bus ride down, we participated in initiative games to encourage teamwork, communication, and problem- solving. We had to work out puzzles like the horseshoe, platform swing, ball balance, team ski, and basketball challenges. In the evening, we had a fun time at the disco.
Day Two saw us doing archery, the flying fox, orienteering and taking a Leap of Faith! The activities were really fun. Some people were really brave and took the leap straight away, others overcame fears, and others did an amazing job cheering others on.
On the last day, we did an Amazing Race Challenge that had us racing around and working as a team, before the long bus ride home.
We got to play pool, pingpong and air hockey in the games room, and play in the GaGa Pit and on the trampolines outside. There was always lots to do.
The food was a highlight. The toast was the best - perfectly cooked! We were never hungry. And the Camp Wilkin staff were friendly and made us feel really welcome.
We're pretty tired now, but have had a great time full of good memories. Thanks to everyone for organising this awesome activity. It was a LOT of fun.
