Year 2 Newsletter
Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe that we are already in Week 6. We hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable long weekend last week.
What are we up to in the classroom?
Last week in Inquiry, students created storyboards for their claymation projects. Over the next few weeks, they’ll bring these stories to life by building their claymation scenes with Lego and other figures and using coloured paper and school materials to create backdrops. They’ll then film their animations using stop-motion.
In Maths, we continued exploring time, focusing on reading o’clock and half-past. This week, students are learning about calendars and seasons, and we’ll be introducing elapsed time. During Writing, students are working on persuasive letters to Mr. Foley, arguing for a longer recess. Let’s see if they can convince him with their persuasive writing.
