Next Gen Tradies Day

Hands on Learning students recently had the opportunity to build a mini house through the Highlands llen program, at Platinum Institute Australia’s Trades Training Facility in Delacombe. Students learned hands-on skills, as they would on a real construction site. They were able to try some of the different trades required to build a house, including constructing the frame, installing the weatherboards and painting the finished product.

As we travelled from Beaufort, we started late and left early, however the staff were very impressed with the crew's efficiency, which saw them complete all the necessary components of the cubby house. Whilst the final use for the cubby house is still to be determined, it will be a valued asset wherever it goes. Congratulations to the Hands on Learning students involved on the day.
