Static Electricity

In Science at the moment our Year 9’s are learning about electricity. Last week, Miss Thomson’s class got to investigate the powers of static electricity and how it is generated. The class had some crazy moments with their hair standing up and bending water with a plastic rod. They even got to see the effects of the Ven DeGraff machine. They each got to see if their hair would stand up while they touched it before the class stood in a line, holding hands to pass the spark from Miss Thomson to the person at the end.
