A Final Word from our 2024 College Captains
When we reflect on our time together, we want to take a moment to honour those who believed in us when we doubted ourselves—our teachers, our families, and our friends. Your unwavering support has lifted us in our darkest moments and celebrated us in our brightest.
As we leave this chapter behind, let’s not forget the bonds we’ve formed. These friendships are precious and irreplaceable. Reach out, stay connected, and lift each other up as we take on the next adventures life has in store.
And as we stand on the threshold of this new journey, we want to share a verse from Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Let this promise guide you as we step into the unknown.
Here’s to the memories we cherish, the dreams we pursue, and the bonds we carry with us. Congratulations, Class of 2024!

River Cruise Review
Article by Jacob J. and Jasmin D.
River Cruise Night 2024 was an unforgettable experience for the Year 10s! It was a night full of laughter, music, and fun activities, creating memories to last a lifetime. Students enjoyed the scenic views and loved taking photos with friends. Once the phones were put away after we had a chance to take all our photos, then the night really started!
Seeing Mr ‘t Hart and Mr Asphar’s amazing dance moves, as well as the swarm of people creating a mosh pit in the middle of the dance floor, certainly were sights to behold. The food disappeared as soon as it came out, and the unlimited soft drinks and water helped it get down. The teachers made the night one to remember, making sure everyone got involved. The key memories would have to be the scenic views and photos, and the best part… the absolute banger songs.
Thanks to Mr Asphar and all the other teachers who attended, for making this wonderful night happen.
Numero Competition
Article by Krish P.and Samar S. (6B)
On Wednesday, 30 October, twelve students from The King’s College represented our school at the AFG Primary Interschool Numero Challenge, which was held at West Leeming Primary School. Our two teams, the ‘Kings Kalculators’ and the ‘Kings Konverters’, worked diligently through a variety of rounds that required mathematical thinking and problem-solving.
We also had an awesome team of Year 4 students who came along as reserves, and we had the opportunity to learn and find out what the competition was like. This experience taught us so much, as we discovered new strategies when completing Numero challenges, and we also got to show off our awesome teamwork and communication skills! Thank you to Mrs Julie Richards for putting on such a wonderful competition and allowing us to participate.
