Trinity Rowathon
Fundraising Event
The annual Trinity Rowathon is the TCRC’s main fundraising event of the rowing season. Fundraising/Donations can now be paid to the TC Online Store: The 5 largest donations will be given the right to name one of the new sculls that the fundraising has been used to purchase. This extends to people outside the rowing community. Please see the attached FAQ’s for more info.
Trinity College is one of the rare schools that offers rowing as an activity for which no fees are charged by the College for participation. This fundraising is to keep us competitive with the other colleges with big budgets and who charge a fee to row.
The rowing equipment is available for use for all Trinity students in PE and at learn to row sessions. The money raised from the Rowathon covers the cost of many important things associated with Trinity College Rowing, such as:
- New Boats
- New Oars
- New Ergos
- Gym equipment
- New speedboats
- Repairs/refurbishments to existing equipment
The Trinity Bridges regatta occurs next Saturday the 23rd on the river in front of the school. All PSA schools and some exhibition races with Olympians take place and watching from the Mattagarup bridge is our own unique grand stand. It coincides with the 2nd day of the 1st Test at Optus and finishes as the Test starts.
Everyone is welcome and it is a great opportunity for anyone with a boat to moor up along the last 500m of the race course to watch the events and have a cup of tea.
Thanks for all of your support.
Phil Jurjevich
Director of Rowing
