From the Principal Team

Natalie Shanahan, Sam Fleming, Claire Johnston

BPS is buzzing with excitement with only 15 school days left and lots happening for our students. They are busily preparing for carols and we are all looking forward to a lovely afternoon on the oval on December 11th.

A class act... (Pt 1)

Our Senior School talent show is next week and it has been lovely to watch the students rehearsing their acts, all guided by Performing Art extraordinaire Miss Daniel. We can't wait to see the final performances next week!

A class act... (Pt 2)

It's not just the kids who are busy. Teachers are working hard behind the scenes collaboratively building the 2025 classes. Much time goes into looking to create the best composition to meet the needs of all of the students, with many factors considered in the construction of classes. Students will spend some time with their new class and teacher on Monday the 16th as part of our whole school transition program.

The colour of money...

Our colour run proved an awesome community event, raising over $22,000. This is an amazing result and will be such a valuable contribution to the landscaping and play equipment for our playground space.

Going...going...gone!

If you haven't been around here for a while you may not know that works have now commenced on the landscaping and playground area, although we'd be surprised if your children didn't rush home to tell you the old building got knocked down as it was quite the spectacle. And what a great amount of space you end up with if you just knock down a building!! Scroll through the progress pics below.

It takes a village...

As they say, It takes a village to raise a child. A BIG thank you from us to all of our 'village' members. We hope to see you at our thank you morning tea...

Naughty list...

We're lucky to have a fresh new staff car park. Please remember it is a staff car park and shouldn't be used during drop-off or pick-up times, regardless if there are spaces available. This car park is not designed for this and drivers using it for drop-off or pick-up risk the safety of their child, as well as other pedestrians coming to and from school. An exception to this is after hours, when collecting children from the OSHC program (before 8am or after 4pm).

Please also model safe pedestrian behaviours to the children by also not using the staff car park as a pedestrian short cut. We have now opened the pedestrian gate next to the staff car park entrance which allows another safe in and out pathway into school for those using the short term parking in Lionel Street.

Nice list...

This month our social wellbeing program URSTRONG has had a particular focus on being kind on purpose. It has been pleasing seeing our students being BUSTED being kind on purpose, something the world always needs at this time of year, when we're exhausted and struggling to the end of year finish line.

See you around!

-Natalie, Claire and Sam.
