Year 6 News

We are now halfway through Term 3, and the students have done an outstanding job showing action and leadership skills.

The Year 6 teachers would like to congratulate them on their excellent achievement with the Mega Market, which was a tremendous success.

How We Organise Ourselves

As we come to a finish on our unit 'How We Organise Ourselves', the Year 6 students' Mega Market also came to its conclusion. Thanks to the generosity and involvement of the wider school community, the Year 6 Mega Market was able to raise $7650. This is an absolute success.

The Year 6 cohort has decided to donate 10% of the profit we made to the Cancer Council. That is a total of $765, which leaves us a total of $6,885 raised to help with our graduation.  Once again thank you everyone for all of your donations and support.

Reflections of the Mega Market

I was so excited to start the market as we were setting up! I looked around and wondered if anyone will come to our stall because it was so small as not as pretty compared to the other stalls.

I fixed my pink fuzzy cowboy hat on my head and stood proud behind my stall as the preps came through with their teachers. Some of them just looked at our stall and scuttled away but some came up to our stall with a smile and got a goody bag. After a minute we were soooo busy, i really didn't expect THAT many people to come to our stall at a time. I was working with the money, Takai was living, Iris was doing the mochi guess and Hitomi was passing people their goody bags after they passed me the money.

After a while i was pretty thirsty and hungry so I got my drink, I ordered a solo but there wasn't any so instead I got a sprite but i like sprite. On my nachos was scrumptious cheese and pasty salsa, they tasted really good but their wasn't that generous of an amount since everyone had to pay four dollars fifty for a tiny plate of nachos. I also walked around for a bit and got a honey joy, a brownie and lots of chocolate.

Overall, it was really fun, and I got lots of sweet food, yummy. :) I think we had so many customers and made lots of money. I'm so excited for graduation.

On Tuesday the 12th of August, we had our whole school mega market. Me and my group were doing the Lolly Toss, our stall sold lolly bags and had a fun game. Our game was setup like this: 10 cups, six big cups, three small cups, and one tiny golden cup. There were throwing lines which were a specific distance from the game depending on your age group, and you had to throw a ping pong ball into a specific cup to get a prize. Next to us was the Choco Bros, Teddy Toss and Books 'n Stuff. But the members for Books 'n Stuff weren't there, so some people from Refreshu (Soft Drink stall) had to run the stall for them.

Then the Mega Market had started, we saw the preps first, and we were already selling tons of lolly bags. Our game was also doing really well. After the preps had had a good look at the stalls, the 1's and 2's started to come try our lolly bags and our game, but all of a sudden Raph went to the Choco Bros and started buying lots, and lots of chocolate strawberries. He then he started working for them instead of us! So we were a member down. But we could go on without Raph, and we did. The Preps, 1's and 2's were loving our stall! They wouldn't stop buying and playing!

But after some time had passed... The year 3's 4's and 5's came and bombarded our stall! They were buying lolly bag after lolly bag, and playing game after game! We couldn't stop them from buying stuff from our stall! We were super successful, and we think we made a lot of money. Then once it quieted down, we each took a turn to get our food or go advertising. I got some pizza, ice cream and some lemonade. After the market we were all very tired and wrecked from selling so many lolly bags.

After we packed up, I realised how hard it would have been to run the stall all by myself, I would have passed out with the amount of people I had to serve, thank goodness we had a team to help each other run the stall.

Farewell Nathanael

Hi, I am Nate/ Nathanael. By the time you are reading this I will probably be gone. I am moving to Cyprus with my family and starting at a tennis academy where I will be coached by the famous Makos Baghdadis and his brother Pedros Baghdadis. Markos Baghdadis played Rojer Federer in the US open. He got into the top ten in the world and his brother made top 50 but quit to start coaching.

I have been at BNPS for 6 years now and I have made so many friends over the years. There are so many friends to name but Rhad and Aidan have been some of the best! I have known Aidan since year one and he has stuck with me the whole way through. He is funny and kind and overall a great person. I have known Rahd for as long as I can remember. We were in the same mothers group and we started becoming best friends in year 3 when soccer/football started to get more popular and we really started to spend time with each other.

I will miss the school a lottttttttt!! But I hope I can come back to visit. I will never forget Australia and all my friends!

Hope to see you at the AO!!!!

Hello I am Rahd and I am here to tell you about Nate through the primary school years at BNPS. Nate has been at BNPS since Prep.  Nathanael was in my mother’s group when we were very little, and he has been my friend ever since.  He is a very kind and caring person, and he is always there for me. Nathanael and I weren’t really friends at school until around Year 3, but we were friends in Prep, and we had lots of fun back then. Nathanael is very good at tennis, and that is one of the reasons that he is moving to Cyprus completely, to join a tennis academy. He also has lots of family members over there in Cyprus which he hasn’t seen for a while. Me and my friends will miss Nathanael a lot, and I wish him good luck in Cyprus.

Hi, I am Aiden, and I am here to tell you about Nate through his primary school years. Nate has been with BNPS since prep and we hadn’t met till year one. So Raph, Ari, Nate and I made a group together. We had lots of fun back then, Nate always made things fun and exciting, that’s the type of person he is. Nate is a very kind and companionate person. He is the type of person that looks out for others and feels their emotions. He is quite competitive and is really good at sports and athletics activities. I'm really going to miss him but I hope he has an amazing time in Cyrus.
