Principal's Report

As I begin to wind down towards the end of the term and my upcoming retirement, I am truly enjoying these final weeks surrounded by our wonderful students. It has been such a joy to join in the many activities that make our school such a vibrant place.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of watching the students participate in Book Week and our House Athletics Carnival. The forecast had promised rain, but thankfully the weather held off, and we were treated to a fantastic day of competition, teamwork, and school spirit. Days like these remind me of how special our community is, and I feel very fortunate to share these moments with the students before I finish my time as Principal.
Book Week
What a wonderful celebration our Book Week Parade was! The creativity and effort that went into the students’ costumes was simply amazing – from the tiniest details to the most elaborate outfits, it was clear how much thought and imagination had been poured into them.
A huge thank you must also go to our parents for the fabulous effort and support you put in to help bring favourite book characters to life.
Our staff joined in the fun too, dressing up as dalmatian dogs, and they even managed to convince me to take on the role of Cruella! The laughter and joy this brought to both the children and adults was infectious, and it truly captured the spirit of Book Week – a love of stories, creativity, and community.
Please enjoy the videos below and photos of the parade are playing on the television in the school foyer.

Student Led Conferences
I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to both our parents and our teachers for the recent Student Led Conferences. These conferences are such an important part of our students’ learning journey, providing them with the opportunity to share their progress, reflect on their goals, and take real ownership of their learning.
The success of these conferences comes from the strong partnership between home and school. Parents, your support and encouragement mean so much to the students, and your presence reinforces the value of their hard work. Teachers, your preparation, guidance, and dedication were evident in the way students confidently shared their achievements and next steps.
It was truly wonderful to see the pride on our students’ faces as they led the conversations about their learning.
Thank you all for helping make these conferences such a meaningful and successful experience.
Daffodil Day
The Wellbeing Team with the support of SAT are organising for students to wear a touch of yellow and give a gold coin donation on Friday 29 August (Daffodil Day) to raise money for the Cancer Council.
Ramps
Ramps Project This project commenced in Term 1, 2025 and, 5 months later, is almost complete. It will be wonderful when the temporary fences are finally removed, and we get our entire playground back.
