Mental Health & Wellbeing Report

Dear Parents and Carers,
A warm welcome to 2025. Throughout the year I will continue to provide information about Mental Health and Wellbeing and how we can all work together to support each other and the students - your children.
School-wide positive behaviour support (SWPBS) is a framework that brings together school communities to develop positive, safe, supportive learning cultures. The framework assists us to improve social, emotional, behavioural and academic outcomes for children and young people. We are a SWPBS school so part of that requirement is to have a positive behaviour matrix which aligns to our school values – Communication, Honesty, Kindness, Resilience, Respect and Teamwork. Our positive behaviour expectations are: Be respectful, Be responsible and Be safe.
At home you can support your child’s positive experiences at school by asking them what it means to be respectful, to be responsible and to be safe when they are at school.
Also attached is the current article from our school’s Happy Families subscription. It talks about ‘Back-to-School Butterflies’ and provides practical steps for you to use at home.
Kind Regards,
Vanessa Moore
Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader (MHWC)
