Kon-nichi-wa! Yoh-koso Nihongo eh!
Hello! Welcome to Japanese!
2025 is the Year of the Snake. Originating from China, the Chinese zodiac remains popular in many East and Southeast Asian countries, including Japan.
In the first two weeks of term, the students have learnt about the Year of the Snake in Japanese and have created their own special snake puppets.
The Senior Years students learnt the importance of goal setting in Japanese culture, and wrote their own goals on ‘EMA’ - a small plaque used to write their goals, prayers or wishes.
I look forward to a year full of wonderful Japanese language learning and keeping parents informed through newsletter write ups.
