Dear families,
WELCOME BBQ
The welcome BBQ was a fantastic event, bringing together families, staff, and students for a great community night. A big thank you to all the parents who attended—we loved seeing everyone come together to kick off the year. Special thanks to Damien Doller for cooking the BBQ, our dedicated staff and fantastic students for all their help.
CURRICULUM DAY - NO SCHOOL TOMORROW
Staff will be participating in a curriculum day facilitated by Danny Hyndman tomorrow. The focus for the day will be reading. This is a pupil free day and there will be no school tomorrow.
PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS
Bookings are now open on XUNO for Parent, Student, Teacher Interviews. We encourage parents to attend Parent-Teacher Interviews as they provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child's progress, strengths, and areas for improvement. These meetings help build a strong partnership between home and school, ensuring that you stay informed and involved in your child's learning journey. By working together, we can support student success and well-being both in and outside the classroom.
COVID
We have had a report of a student with COVID this week. Please continue to test your children if they are displaying symptoms.
Management of COVID-19 in schools
It is recommended that staff members, students or visitors who have symptoms of cold, influenza or COVID-19 do not attend school, or go home as soon as possible after becoming unwell at school. Parents of symptomatic students should be asked to collect their child from school and keep them home until they are no longer symptomatic.
The Department of Health recommends that staff and students who test positive for COVID-19 isolate for a minimum of 5 days and do not attend school until their symptoms resolve.
PARENTS AND FRIENDS
A Bunnings BBQ is the first fundraiser for the year. This is on this Saturday 15th of February. Thank you to all those families who have volunteered to help on the day.
