Lotus Language Prize

Congratulations to Do Hee Lee for winning the Lotus Language Prize!

Below is Do Hee’s response to her trip:

“During the Christmas holidays, I had the amazing opportunity to study for two weeks at Shanghai Jiao Tong University through the Lotus Language Prize Trip. The Lotus Language Prize is a scholarship opportunity run by the Queensland Department of Education to recognise and support Queensland students in Years 9 and 10 that study Chinese. The trip to Shanghai transformed my perspective as a global citizen and an individual. Studying at SJTU not only deepened my knowledge of the Chinese language, I also gained insights into China's rich culture through classroom culture activities and group outings which wouldn't have been possible in a typical school environment. This trip also immersed me in diverse ideas, enhancing my understanding of global issues and igniting my passion for cross-cultural communication and collaboration.”
