Lunch Clubs

At the heart of wellbeing at MECS, we want students to feel seen, heard and celebrated. A key aspect of this is helping students to form friendships and connect with those in the school community, to find their ‘people’. A sense of belonging is an important part of school life. We acknowledge that some of us can find this more challenging than others and can be particularly daunting when starting a new school, a new year level or when friendships change.

One way we seek to help our Junior Secondary students to connect and find peers with similar interests is through our lunch clubs. We have a variety of clubs available to our students, each with a particular theme or activity. The clubs are staffed by some of our amazing Learning Diversity or Wellbeing team members. We are always open to hearing of new ideas students may have for these clubs.

We’ve provided you a copy of our lunch club schedule so you can encourage your child to attend if they would like to take up this opportunity. There is no expectation to sign up or attend every week, they're just welcome to come on the day.
