Congratulations to all boys and staff involved in the Inaugural Mass held for the first time at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in Week 2. Once again the boys rose to the occasion providing outstanding music for what was a very special occasion.
Marist College Ashgrove has a long history of providing students with leading, real-world education experiences in Music. The most recent example of this has been the extension of the existing Music Centre, to include a state-of-the-art Recording Studio, with multiple live recording spaces and a dedicated control room, with professional-level equipment. As well as extensive use in Senior Music, the College’s Co-Curricular Audio Club, run on Tuesday afternoons (3:15pm-4:15pm), provides students in all year levels with an opportunity to use and learn in this state-of-the-art space. Open to all students, including non-music students, students interested in joining can visit or email Music Reception music@marash.qld.edu.au for more information.
At Marist College Ashgrove, all students have the opportunity to participate in our diverse offerings of the Co-curricular Music Program. Beyond our Instrumental program, the College has two non-auditioned Vocal Ensembles where all students can further involve themselves in College culture through a fun and supportive choral environment. Participation in Co-curricular Ensembles involves the weekly commitment of a morning rehearsal, as well as providing multiple performance opportunities for students throughout the year. Please email music@marash.qld.edu.au if your son wishes to participate in one of these Vocal Ensembles (Please include Year Level and Full Name).
