Werribee Zoo

On Thursday our year 3 & 4 students ventured on the long bus ride down to Werribee Zoo. Students got the chance to get up close and personal with a variety of different African and Australian animals. Students were also treated to a safari bus ride through a range of different animal exhibits. Each student shared their favourite part of the day:

Harrison: I loved the safari bus there because it has the best animal views. There were zebras, giraffes, gorillas, rhinos, lizards, snakes, lions, monkeys, cheetahs, joeys with their mums, wallabies, geese, Bisons, horses, koalas, wild dogs, birds, and so much more! I loved the Zebras.

Delilah: I liked seeing the monkeys and the tortoises and the baby tortoises. I also liked the lions with their baby cubs and also the giraffes.

Cody: The zoo was fun and it was cool. The zoo had cool animals such as a giraffe and a peacock.

We went on a tour around the zoo.

Noah: I really enjoyed the zoo trip. My favourite part was going on the safari bus and seeing the buffalo. I really enjoyed getting to see the animals like the monkey, gorilla, zebra, fossils, cheetah.

Don: I liked going on the safari bus and seeing animals like giraffes, rhinos, zebras and water buffalo. We went to the reptile area and we saw lots of snakes and lizards. We did a big maze and I was the third one out of the maze.

Wally: I loved going to the zoo. My favourite animal was the gorilla. I was amazed by everything I saw. I also enjoyed the bus ride. It must of felt like Africa.

Archie: I really liked the safari bus. I really like the emus and rhinos. I really like the gorillas because they are interesting.

Eli: My favourite bit was the safari bus. Millah lost his voice. My favourite animal was the snake.

Campbell: I really, really liked the ostrich, bison and giraffe. My favourite part was holding the skulls. My absolute favourite reptile was a snake. I liked the safari bus and the maze and the wild snake on the loose. We played the quiet game on the bus, and I lost every time.

Eadie: Werribee Zoo was the best! The meerkats were soooooooooooooo cute and tiny, so were the koalas. I've never been so close to them before! The safari was so fun! (Except when we had to go sooooooo slow and the wind was freezing.)
