Indonesian

All classes have had a great start to Indonesian this year! They have all begun the year by revising and practising conversations, instructions, numbers and colours through a range of different games and activities.

Year 1 students have made a class book, extended their counting to 10 and have put their knowledge of numbers and colours to use when reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar in Indonesian.

Year 2 students have had lots of fun playing number games and have also begun reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar in Indonesian. They have been busy counting, naming and colouring the different fruits from the story.

Year 4 students also enjoyed playing different number games and revising conversational language. They have added to this by asking and answering where they live. They have begun to learn about some of Indonesia’s endangered animals and are finding out on which islands these animals live and saying this in Indonesian.

Year 6 students have expanded on their counting to 100 by playing many different number games each week. They have all chosen a topic of interest about Indonesia and have already found some interesting facts in their research.
