International Women’s Day Breakfast Event

St Bede’s College Parents and Friends Association is delighted to invite you to a special breakfast event to celebrate International Women’s Day, 2024.
Please join us as we acknowledge the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women across the world. This year’s theme is ‘Inspire Inclusion’.
Along with a light breakfast, you will be treated to an inspiring personal story of resilience, inclusion, diversity and understanding from our special guest speaker, Sumaya Harare.
Sumaya came to Australia at the age of 7 with her Somali family as a refugee. Settling in Brighton East, a predominantly Caucasian area, Sumaya attended a nearby primary school, having learned basic English from Sesame Street. Through her experiences and overcoming significant hurdles, Sumaya’s story is inspiration to us all.

Old Collegians - Class of 1994 Reunion
On Thursday 8 February, over 50 past students from the Class of 1994, nine teachers and then-Principal Brother Quentin came together for an unforgettable evening of reconnecting.
Joy and camaraderie filled the room as guests enjoyed dinner while catching up with peers, some of whom they hadn't seen in three decades! A special shoutout to Russell French for making a memorable entrance in his impeccably preserved Year 12 uniform.
Many thanks to our staff who joined the special event, including 1994 College Vice Captain Andrew Beaumont (Leaders' Coordinator and Health Human Development Teacher), David Cracknell and Peter Wintle for their unique and heartfelt speeches.
Old Collegians - Class of 1984 Reunion
The Class of 1984 Reunion is celebrating 40 years since graduation on Thursday 29 February. Special guests for the evening include then-Principal Brother William Firman and staff members Peter Wintle, Vincent Underwood, Bill Healy, and Paul Swannie.
40 Old Collegians have already secured their spots for this nostalgic event.
