News and Information from Primary
Thank you to the entire DCS Primary Community for your support, encouragement and sense of community during today's Primary Athletics Carnival. Words cannot describe the impact that a day like this has on students and their connection to the DCS Community. Pictures though, tell a much greater story.

DCS House Names
What do the House names Rapha, Nissi and Tsuri mean? These House names reveal different aspects of Jesus' character and nature. These three names, Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Nissi and Jehovah Tsuri, are particularly significant and teach us important lessons about God's provision and protection.

Jehovah Nissi means 'the Lord is my banner,' and reminds us of God's protection and victory. In Exodus 17:15, Moses built an altar and named it Jehovah Nissi, declaring that the Lord had given them victory over their enemies. This name teaches us that God is our protector and defender and that we can trust in His strength and power to overcome any obstacle or challenge we may face.

Jehovah Rapha means 'the Lord who heals,' and reminds us of God's power to bring physical, emotional, and spiritual healing to our lives. In Exodus 15:26, God declares Himself as Jehovah Rapha, saying, 'I am the Lord who heals you.' This verse shows that God desires to heal us and make us whole. As Christians, we can trust in God's healing power and pray for His healing in our lives and the lives of those around us.

Jehovah Tsuri, which means 'the Lord is my rock,' reminds us of God's stability and steadfastness. In Psalm 18:2, David declares, 'The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my Saviour; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the strength of my salvation, and my stronghold.' This name teaches us that God is a firm foundation in our lives, and that we can trust in His unwavering love and faithfulness, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
