Student Absences

If your child is absent from school please ensure to notify us. This is a legal requirement.

Our preferred method of communication is via the Sentral Portal.

Alternatively you can email berwick.chase.ps@education.vic.gov.au  or call 9707 7799 stating your childs name, grade and a brief reason as to why they are absent. 

Absence Notifications by SMS

When a student is marked absent in our attendance system with no explanation, a text will be sent to a parent/carer at approximately 9:30am to confirm the absence. 

Parents/carers will be asked to reply via text to provide an explanation of the absence. 

If you receive a text and you believe it to be an error, please phone the school immediately so we can follow up the childs absence.
