Middle School Manning is sharing the learning taking place in their class…
In Year 3, we have started the year off fabulously by getting to know each other, how our class works, and what we are hoping to achieve. The students in M23 have worked together to create a class mission statement that captures the things that are most important to us. We have discussed the purpose of coming to school this year, what we hope we can grow in and accomplish, and how we aim to show our school values of Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience.
Here is the class mission statement M23 came up with:
M23 have a mission to be successful in life, in our community and in our learning. We will use the 3Rs. We will be kind and use teamwork to accomplish our goals.
We will focus on our work so everyone can learn.
We will not give up and always try our hardest!
We can learn and also have fun!
We also talked about the following metaphor:
We might all be different fish, but in this class we swim together.
M23 is keen to celebrate each other’s differences and unique skills. We know, though, that we need to be a team and watch out for each other so that we can succeed!
Check out our unique and amazing fish, which together with our class mission, will remind us of how wonderful we want M23 to be this year. We used our knowledge of shape, line, and colour to create our masterpieces!
