Year 1

After making pancakes for Shrove Tuesday, the Year 1 students wrote a multi-modal piece of recount and procedural writing. 

Year 4

Last week the Year 4 students took advantage of the hall to work collaboratively with each other on a challenging task titled ‘Cartoon Counting’. It was an opportunity for the children to develop their understanding of the ways in which our number system is built around the number 10 and to recognise that numbers can be partitioned into their place value parts.

The children worked really well in small groups and certainly used a growth mindset to try and develop a Base 8 number system. Well done Y4!
