Hello Families,

We have been having and amazing time at the service over the last two weeks and we are so excited to share all our fun with you! Week 3 and 4 played out as follows:

Week 3 – ‘Safari Spectacular’

This week we immersed ourselves in a Safari! We spent time making some Paper Chain Snakes and playing the new fan favourite game Dragon’s Nest! As always we had lots of fun attempting to find all of the words in a Safari Themed Wordsearch before joining together to play a big game of UNO. We continued our Safari themed fun by making our very own bookmarks and puppets. The children were so proud of their creations. We then ended the week by doing some animal themed watercolour painting. Drawing away from our theme another fan favourite activity this week was making some friendship bracelets in lieu of the Taylor Swift concerts at the MCG!

Week 4 – ‘County Fair’

This week we are imagining ourselves at a Fair and this means we are getting up to all kinds of different activities. Our week started by making some Thumbprint Ferris Wheels and once again playing a new rendition of our new favourite game Dragon’s Nest. We then moved on to making our very own Toffee Apples whilst seeing who could blow the biggest bubble with our bubble wands. We are continuing the fun this week by getting crafty as we make some DIY Flower Mirrors and even some Cotton Ball Fairy Floss. Don’t be fooled, even though this fairy floss looks delicious it cannot be eaten! We can’t wait to see what next week brings!

Pupil Free Days

Please note that despite there being a ‘School Closure Day’ on March 4th, TheirCare will be open from 7AM-6PM as a Pupil Free Day session. These sessions can be booked via FullyBooked under the ‘Pupil Free Day’ booking section of your child’s account. 

Sun Safety

As always being in Term 1, children must wear hats when engaging in outdoor play. Can I please ask parents and guardians that you remind your child to bring their hat over to TheirCare so that we can go outside and enjoy all the sun has to offer safely! If preferred we have a tub at the service, your child is welcome to bring a spare sun-safe hat that is named that they keep at the service and use throughout the Year! Sunscreen will be applied before going outside every day, if your child requires a particular sunscreen, please do not hesitate to let me know so that I can accommodate for this!

2024 April Holiday Program

The upcoming Holiday Program is in the final stages of being sorted. I cannot wait to be able to share with you all soon all of the fun that we are going to get up too. Keep an eye out on our Newsletter updates as well as around the service for further information and flyers soon!
