Middle School News

Year 7 to Year 9

As we bid farewell to Term One, we reflect on a whirlwind of activities that marked its inception, making it a bustling nine weeks at Salvado Catholic College. It's safe to say that the term kicked off with gusto, setting the tone for what proved to be a dynamic period of learning and growth.

Excitement recently filled the air as our Year 9 students and their parents and caregivers gathered for a Camp Information Night last week. The event garnered remarkable attendance, indicative of the anticipation brewing as preparations unfold for the upcoming camp in week four of Term Two.

This week, we completed NAPLAN assessments for Years 7 and 9 students. Thanks to our students for tackling the four tests with diligence and determination. These assessments serve as invaluable tools, offering insights to guide individual and collective progress within the College.

As we transition into the next phase of academic endeavours, Secondary students can anticipate the upload of their Progress Reports this week. These reports, crafted by our dedicated teachers, offer indispensable guidance for refining engagement in classes and cultivating effective study habits in preparation for Term Two, setting the stage for the issuance of Interim Reports.

In our commitment to supporting students' educational journey, we recently disseminated information regarding Atomi, a resource designed to bolster learning endeavours. Parents, please ensure your children have this App installed on their iPads to maximise their learning potential.

As we approach a well-deserved two-week break, a gentle reminder that uniform and personal presentation guidelines will be in effect on the first day back for Term Two. These guidelines serve as the compass guiding our community towards excellence and professionalism. As families embrace this holiday period, may it be filled with rest, joy, and fun moments. We eagerly anticipate welcoming our students back on Monday, 15th April, ready to embark on the next chapter of our educational journey together.
