(Maths & English Tutoring Club)
Big Sister Club (Maths & English tutoring club) is one of the extra-curriculars at Brigidine, where the little sisters (junior students) can get help with Maths and/or English during lunchtime. The big sisters (tutors) from Years 10 – 12 volunteer their time to help and tutor the little sisters on a weekly basis.
We are very fortunate and grateful for the true “Strength & Gentleness” possessed by our senior students. They are very generous with their time, engaging, patient, nurturing and caring for our junior students. These partnerships prove to benefit both students in many different ways. The knowledge and skills they pass to the junior students strengthen their own knowledge and skills required in their senior studies.
Any junior student (Year 7 to Year 10) is welcome to join the Big Sister Club, they will be paired with a big sister (tutor) for the entire term. Big Sister will commence in Week 4 every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtime in KL1 (for English) and KL2 (for Maths).
Mrs Mabey & Mrs Hennessy will introduce the Big Sister Club and invite the new Year 7 students in their Pastoral Care Assembly, on Tuesday.
