"Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed no hope at all."

Our school year commenced with a heartwarming Feast Day Mass dedicated to St. Brigid, infusing us with a sense of purpose and togetherness. This uplifting event served as a poignant reminder of the values we hold dear as a community. Subsequently, during the High Achievers Assembly, we celebrated the remarkable achievements of our Class of 2023. Their successes not only inspired us but also reaffirmed our collective dedication to nurturing and supporting one another on our educational journey.

Looking back on the last two weeks, it has been a time filled with excitement and camaraderie. Our Whole School Assembly and Welcome Evenings provided valuable opportunities for connection and collaboration, deepening the bonds within our community. Our College Opening Assembly showcased inspiring leadership from our College Captain, Sienna Williams, reminding us of the belief in ourselves and each other that drives our collective success. Sienna's inspiring words and leadership exemplify the spirit of our community, and her heartfelt welcome set a positive tone for the new academic year. The College assembly also served as a pivotal moment where our Student Leadership team unveiled the exciting theme for our upcoming Swimming Carnival: "Aussie Aussie Aussie!" This spirited theme embodies the essence of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and national pride, setting the stage for a vibrant and memorable event.

Our Year 7 students embarked on an exhilarating expedition at the Big Aussie Bush Camp, immersing themselves in a transformative experience that will resonate throughout their time at Brigidine. Amidst the rugged beauty of the Australian bush, they not only challenged themselves but also formed enduring friendships and bonds that will serve as the foundation for their journey through our community. This unforgettable adventure not only fostered a spirit of camaraderie but also instilled in them the resilience and determination essential for their growth and development as individuals.

As we extend a warm welcome to our Year 7 students and their families, our new community came together for a heartfelt Welcome Mass and social gathering. It was a moment of genuine connection and inclusion, where new faces were greeted with kindness and acceptance. You are now part of a community that values kindness, inclusion, and support. We celebrate not only the start of a new school year but also the beginning of lasting friendships and memorable experiences.

As Lent draws near, we prepare to embark on a journey of introspection and renewal. It's a time when we pause, reflect, and dig deep into our hearts, seeking growth and connection. Like tending to a garden, Lent offers us the opportunity to nurture our spirits, clearing away the weeds of doubt and cultivating seeds of hope and renewal.

Looking forward, we anticipate the continuation of this spirit of togetherness and growth. Our commitment to excellence and community engagement remains steadfast as we navigate the challenges and successes that lie ahead.

With warm regards,

Mrs Sharyn Quirk
