Wellbeing & RE News

Dear Families,

We have had a great start to the school year at Sacred Heart and it has been lovely to see the growth in height, maturity and wellbeing in the students since last year. And I extend a warm welcome to all our new students and their families as you begin your journey with Sacred Heart.

This time of the year can be tiring for our young people after a long break. It is good to get back into routines - such as a consistent bedtime and device time limits that can help establish boundaries and routines for the year. Having 3 children, I know how hard it can be to get them moving in the morning!

A good website I recommend is called Triple P Parenting and if you have time it is worth exploring. It stands for Positive Parenting Programs and can provide detailed information about many of these types of parenting topics - with webinars, online courses and resources.

If you have a wellbeing concern regarding your child,  or your child needs wellbeing support, please don't hesitate to call, catch me for a chat or send an email. Working in partnership and as a team to support the students of Sacred Heart is so important and why part of our vision statement is, 'Students are at the heart of everything we do'.

RE News

Next week is the beginning of the liturgical season of Lent and students in Year Two to Six will be attending Ash Wednesday Mass with the Parish at 9am.

Please keep in mind that the Beginning of the School Year Mass and Gathering will take place during the evening in Week 5. More details will follow next week, once we have confirmed the date with Father Aloysius.

Take Care and enjoy the weekend,

Kate Harris
