Father and Carer's Day on Fri 30th August, Breakfast & Stall – BUY YOUR TICKETS ASAP – ON SALE UNTIL TUESDAY @ 5PM

Breakfast:  The Parents Committee will host a special Father and Carer’s Day breakfast on Friday 30th August from 8:00am to 8:45am in the SLC. We invite you to join us for a delicious breakfast with school families.

Stall:  After the breakfast, the Father’s and Carer's Day Stall will open from 9:30am to 1.30pm. Children will be able to purchase 2 gifts for their Dad, Carer or Special Person (prices range from $3 to $12, cash only). All children will have a chance to visit the stall, even those who are attending swimming lessons.  Children are free to return at lunchtime and purchase any further gifts that they would like. Can we please strongly encourage families to send a paper or reusable bag to school with their children to bring their gifts home in.

Every year, the children get very excited to celebrate this special day, thank you for your support!

General News

Gardening Team: Thank you to our gardening team for their efforts to tidy up our gardens this week and make them ready for Spring. This group meets informally to help with gardening at the school, assisting with weeding, planting, and mulching.  Everyone is welcome to join in. Send us an email if you would like to participate. 

The Apparents Band – Vocalist sought

We’re Looking for a Talented Parent for The Apparents!  Are you a passionate and versatile vocalist looking to join an exciting new band? The Apparents are on the hunt for a dynamic singer to help bring our unique sound to the next level. 

 About Us: We’re a newly formed band that just gathered for the Music festival back in July. We’re dedicated to play all music genre and perform with energy.  Everybody is welcome to have a try. 

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong vocal ability and stage presence
• Versatility across various styles
• Ability to collaborate and contribute creatively
• Reliable and committed to regular rehearsals and performances.

Child Safety: A reminder that all parents/carer’s who wish to volunteer at CJC must have a Working With Children Check – it is free for volunteers and you can apply online here: Working with Children Check (service.vic.gov.au) 

Friday Treats:   Over winter, we will sell pain aux chocolate ($4) from Reverie Café after school from 3.30pm until 3.45pm. 

CJC Families Facebook Group: Did you know that we have a CJC Facebook Group called CJC Families?  The page is used to inform our community of CJC Events, sell 2nd hand uniform, find a babysitter and more. The page is private, and you must be a CJC community member and answer the questions to join.
