Tasmania Excursion

Term 3 Week 4 & 5, 2024

Day 1: The trip began with fun activities like refining the camp theme song, visiting Beechworth for lollies, and exploring the Spirit of Tasmania.

Day 2: After an early start, we explored Cataract Gorge and tackled the Treetops high ropes course, where students showed excellence in challenging themselves.

Day 3: Despite fog at Cradle Mountain, we enjoyed Dove Lake and visited Melita Honey Shop, embracing curiosity by learning about bees and tasting honey.

Day 4: A rainy day didn’t stop us from enjoying Salamanca markets, Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, and preparing for the 2024 Year 9 Tasmanian Showcase.

Day 5: At Port Arthur, we focused on respect while exploring history, followed by a thrilling, chilly jet boat tour around the coast.

Day 6: We packed up and visited Richmond’s historic bridge, then ZooDoo, where feeding kangaroos was a highlight. We appreciated the care students showed each other as the trip progressed.

Day 7: Our final full day featured mini golf in Tamar Valley and a tour of Beaconsfield Mine, where we reflected on hope, inspired by a powerful story of endurance. We’re now ready to head home after an eventful Tasmanian adventure.

A big thank you to the staff who went with Year 9, it looks like everyone had a fantastic time!
