Year 7 and 8

Junior School Report

As we begin Term 3, our school is buzzing with energy and enthusiasm. The focus this term is on organisation, crucial learning, and achieving positive outcomes. With new subjects to explore and important topics to cover, our students are geared up for success.

The start of a new term always brings fresh opportunities, and our students are already showing their commitment to making the most of them. From improving organisational skills to tackling challenging lessons, they are setting themselves up for a productive and rewarding term. We look forward to seeing the positive outcomes that will surely follow.

Let's continue to support our students as they embark on this new chapter, and here's to a successful Term 3!

Cyber Safety

During pastoral care, students in Years 7 and 8 have been engaged in important lessons on cyber safety and the legal consequences of bullying online. Through these sessions, students have gained a deeper understanding of the impact their online actions can have and the importance of responsible digital behaviour. The program has been incredibly effective, helping our students become more aware of how to protect themselves and others in the digital world.

Students Win Uniform Challenge and Enjoy Pizza Lunch!

Our Year 8 students recently took part in a Uniform Challenge, where they showcased their school spirit by proudly wearing their uniforms. The competition was tough, but two classes stood out and claimed victory! Their reward? A well-deserved pizza lunch, enjoyed by all. Congratulations to the winners and a big thank you to everyone who participated!

Subject Selection

Excitement is in the air as our Year 8 students have recently selected their subjects for Year 9! This important step allows them to begin tailoring their education to their interests and future goals. Our students approached the decision-making process thoughtfully, considering the opportunities and challenges each subject offers.

We commend our Year 8s for taking this process seriously and making informed choices that will shape their learning journey in the coming year. We're confident that the subjects they've chosen will inspire and engage them as they transition into Year 9.

Best of luck to all our students as they prepare for this next exciting phase of their education!

High School Musical

Students in Year 5 from Goonawarra Primary, Sunbury Heights, Kismet Park and Sunbury West Primary school will all have the privilege of attending our college musical’s matinee performances.
