Outdoor Education
Year 11 Outdoor and Environmental Studies
Year 11 Outdoor and Environmental Studies students had the opportunity to visit Mt. Buller and assess the health of an Alpine Outdoor environment. As part of their Unit 4 studies, students completed soil and water testing, learned about flora and fauna management, and, through discussion with an environmental representative from Alpine Resorts Victoria, the projects in the local area. Students also enjoyed recreational activities such as downhill skiing and snowboarding.
Year 10 Outdoor Education students
On August 7th, the Year 10 Outdoor Education students enjoyed a fun and engaging rock-climbing excursion at the Hardrock Indoor Climbing Centre in the CBD. The day was filled with climbing challenges that not only provided excitement but also allowed students to connect their classroom theories on risk, motivation, and flow with real-world applications. This hands-on experience brought their academic learning to life dynamically and engagingly.
