Annual School Survey
An annual satisfaction survey of parents, students and staff will be conducted on behalf of all Catholic schools in the Diocese this term. The surveys are designed to gather feedback from parents, staff and students about our school and will be used to inform school improvement. Responses are confidential and individuals cannot be identified. The surveys were launched via email on Monday 26th August 2024 using the email addresses supplied to the school. If you did not receive an email with a link to the survey, you can access and complete the survey via the following link.
https://www.research.net/r/StEdwardsPARENT2024
The survey will close on Wednesday 4th September 2024. Thank you for your ongoing support of St Edward's School.
Infants Concrete Garden
Last week, as part of our Book Week celebrations and in connection with the CBCA books, the Infants children were busy creating a Concrete Garden with chalk out the front of the Library. Each class took a turn of adding to the garden and the care and thought was just amazing, there was not one scribble in sight!
The Infants students also made some Gymnastica Fantastica dancing ribbons in break times which was also a fun thing to do! We hope all our Infants parents enjoyed hearing about the concrete garden and dancing ribbons, it was such a fun activityfor all the children to do!

St Ed's P & F 90's Trivia Night
Our P&F committee know how to create an electrifying atmosphere!! The 90's certainly was the peak of fashion. It was wonderful to welcome 16 tables to our P&F Trivia night hosted by Mel and Lauren. This year's event had a 90's theme, with plenty of Double Denim, flannels, Clueless, Where's Wally, Mighty Ducks and Slash in the room to name a few. The best-dressed team prize was awarded to The Mighty Ducks for their costume creativity and effort! Chris Clarke best dressed male and Tash Gippel and Em Press were the best dressed female. The P & F night raised over $7,000. A big "Thank You" to all the sponsors who generously supplied prizes and vouchers for the evening, Ryan Newberry for being the amazing MC, Bec and Gavin for running the raffles and Alison and Amanda on the recording table. Last but not least, congratulations to table #8 - Street Smart crowned 2024 winners who were also the returning champions from our 2022 trivia night.

Attendance
Hope Kitchen
“HOPe Outreach are looking for additional volunteers to join their team to assist in HOPe’s ministry to the Rural Fire Service. HOPe will use our food truck to provide meals to fire fighters, support staff, incident controllers & evacuees in fire emergencies around the Diocese. Training in food handling and the operation of the truck is provided free of charge to volunteers.
In order to keep the skills required and build team spirit, we also make our truck available to serve food & coffee at parish functions & fetes around the Diocese. Contact us if you will like the HOPe truck to come to your parish or school function!
Can you assist as a volunteer? Many employers provide paid leave for staff who volunteer to assist the RFS & SES in times of crisis or you may have time to volunteer out of work hours remembering that emergencies are not 9 to 5 events! If you are interested in joining this amazing team, or to make an enquiry about the work of HOPe, please email your details to pmanvell@armidale.catholic.org.au and we will be in touch with you.
God Bless one and all,
Deacon Paul Manvell – Heart Of Peace
