Principal Reflections

Dear Parents and Carers,

With the permission of the family, I would like to share some difficult news regarding one of our students.

Marlee Deamer, a beautiful student in 4R, has been diagnosed with Anaplastic Large-Cell Lymphoma, a rare form of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Marlee has recently commenced treatment at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle and is being very well cared for by the medical team, Ronald McDonald House and her beautiful family. Marlee is responding well to treatment and is in good spirits.

We are committed to supporting Marlee and her family, in every way possible and ask for your understanding and compassion as they navigate the many challenges ahead of them.

Please keep them in your prayers and thoughts, and if you have any questions or need assistance, do not hesitate to reach out.

Heavenly Father

We ask for your healing touch upon Marlee as she faces this challenging health battle. Grant her strength, courage, and peace, and let her feel Your comforting presence each day. We pray that You guide the hands of the doctors and medical staff who are caring for Marlee, and that You bless every treatment with Your healing power.

We also pray for Marlee’s family, that You provide them with comfort, strength, and unwavering faith during this difficult time. Lord, we trust in Your divine mercy and ask for your healing touch for Marlee.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

Amen

Thank you for your continued support,

Alison Hatton
